Step-by-Step Guide to Manage Transfer in the ESS Utumishi Portal

Step 1. Visit the Portal

Visit the official ESS Utumishi portal through this link: https://ess.utumishi.go.tz/sessions/signin. Log in using your Check Number as the username and your password. Now visit your dashboard.

Step 2. Navigate to the Transfer Management Section

After accessing your dashboard, locate and click on the “Transfer Management” tab. This section allows you to view existing transfer requests and initiate new ones.

Step 3. Transfer Request

By clicking on Manage transfers a new window will open. It contains 4 action buttons: Transfer requests, Vacancy Requests, Incoming Exchange Request and Own Exchange Requests.
To initiate a new transfer click on “Transfer Requests

Here you can: 

  • Create Transfer

Click on Create transfer, a new pop up will appear on the screen showing following details:

  • From: Here select region from where you are moving. 
  • To Region: Select region where you want to be transferred. 
  • Check Boxes: Not under local Government and CV attachment box.
  • Mobile Number: Add your registered mobile Number.
  • Select Reason: Select reason for your transfer in this box such as medical reasons.

After filling these details Click on Save option to save in your directory. 

Submit the Transfer Request

  • Review all entered information for accuracy.
  • Click “Submit” to forward your request to the relevant authorities for consideration

Track the Status of Your Transfer Request

After submission, you can monitor the progress of your request within the “Transfer Management” section. Statuses may include:

  • Pending: Awaiting review.
  • Under Review: Being evaluated by the relevant department.
  • Approved: Transfer request accepted.
  • Rejected: Transfer request denied, with reasons provided.

  • Click on Manage Transfers. After opening a new window, click on the Vacancy Requests. 
  • Tap Create Vacancy! Enter demanded details such as workstation, Reason, Email Address and Mobile Number
  • Never forget to attach a CV. 
  • Then Submit your vacancy for approval.
